LAST LIGHT OF THE DAY

"Last Light of the Day" (8-23-09 5990v6) is another very old pic of mine, just slightly modified today (a wee bit of diffusing and sharpening). It's one of those I always always have mixed feelings about when I stumble across it. It's so "in your (flower) face" and yet, it's just that aspect that grabs me about it at first. Then, those cool shadow shapes on the petals hook me. You might enjoy getting even more up in its face by clicking on the image (details show better that way ... like the fuzzy edge on the calix of the bud in the lower left).
