THE INSPIRATION FOR DENDRITES

"The Inspiration for Dendrites" (5-2-16 007v2) is from a very new pic, and (unusual for me) not fussed with much at all. Basically, one huge crop of the original (of necessity, it was taken at quite a distance) and a wee bit of color contrast and texture work. I love watching these trees in the wind, and even when they're still. (The one on the right used to have a really cool, zig-zag, sort of lightning bolt shaped bare branch, low on it. Some storm or other finally made an end to that multiple elbowed beauty of a branch a while back.) I thought longer than probably even makes sense about a title for this pic. But kept coming back to how much the trees look like illustrations I've seen of our brains' dendrites. (Which word, BTW, means tree-like in Greek.)
