THE THAW; & BURNING BRIDGES
The Thaw (4-12-14 002v4), above, was taken just a few days ago and fudged with this morning. Once I got a passable crop of a hummingbird on her nest I'd been aiming for, I became enamored of the fern patterns in the rest of the picture. Below is another place these patterns took me, to Burning Bridges (4-12-14 002v7):
When I first decided to post these together I thought they were such opposites. And certainly at one level they are. Yet in another way (the titles reveal this) they both have to do with the effect of heat. I didn't consciously plan this, just followed my imagination's nose as usual.
