RIDING THE WAVES

"Riding the Waves" (3-22-15 016v2) was taken this morning during the walk back after attempting shots of that building I keep talking about that's going up across the street. (One pic may be vaguely passable out of 11.) This fiddle head fern is right outside our front gate and has been through a lot, I believe due to the drought. It and another one just across the sidewalk from it, have been cut way back twice, last spring and now. And they spring (you should pardon the pun) right back. They keep riding out the waves of change. BTW, rare for my pix, I did very little to this one. Minor cropping, and increased contrast. I like the busy look of it. I think it's the deep shadows that balance it all out for me. Though I hasten to add this is another pic that looks a bit different in blogger, than in my editing programs. E.g., the shadows aren't quite as dark, and show a bit more vague greenery than I see in MS Picture Manager.

See the Archives listing (below Previous Posts) in the right hand column. And here’s the link if you wish to read an Introduction, Background, & Technical Aspects post about this blog.
