GONE FISHING

"Gone Fishing" (9-12-09 6819v2) is one of my oldest pix. Those striped shadows are on the shuttered serving window of a snack shack by Goleta Beach. The first couple of years I lived here I bought many a sandwich lunch at that window. Then sat with my friend at the same picnic table from which I took this shot, and enjoyed the afternoon. The recent oil spill at nearby Refugio Beach brought this pic to mind as the spill has been a concern for Goleta Beach, too. Volunteers have been combing the sands for any tar balls that may have spread from Refugio.
