WINTER'S APPROACH

I was just over by these trees today. First time out on a long walk since the Thomas wildfire started weeks ago. I took some new pix but don't have time to load them to my computer right now. But thought I could post this one taken earlier this month ("Winter's Approach" 12-6-17 005v2). Probably snapped on the last walk I took before I decided the air was too smokey to cope with. Even with a mask (what a pain in the butt a mask is ... yes, very useful, but if I don't have to, I ain't gonna wear one!). I did have one with me today just in case, as simply doing a lot of singing one evening indoors made me raspy. But didn't need the mask. I was also glad to note my legs were up to the challenge after a couple weeks of little exercise. But back to this pic: the photos I took today were of these trees. It'll be interesting to see how different they may turn out to be (or not). And the trees in the park were filled more than usual with birds, all of them very verbal: crows and some other small birds with a high pitched sound. Chatter, chatter, chatter... swoop, swoop ... Loved it.
