ON A GOLDEN PLATTER; & DOUBLE RAINBOW

On A Golden Platter (12-24-13 003v3), above, is from a different shot of those same blooms pictured here a couple days ago.

And Double Rainbow (12-14-13 003v10), below, is another version of the same photo used for "On A Golden Platter":

I'd actually wanted to post a much more straightforward version of this shot, but I had that problem again with it looking different on this blog than in other programs. I've now noted it seems to occur mostly when I've done a lot of darkening of midtones in order to drop out the background. It may be time for me to think about trying out a site that's designed specifically for photo sharing.
