THE FEATHERED SERPENT

"The Feathered Serpent" (2-18-10 19938v6j) was just morphed yesterday out of an older morph of an even older photo. The title references the Mayan deity. When this version showed up on my screen (among the many, many pix I've made of the original photo) it put me in mind of Mayan art, and then Quetzalcoatl. I became fond of Mayan art and mythology when first working with the Xultun Tarot deck, decades ago. If you want to see a mind boggling range of images (photos of the ancient work and modern renderings) just Google for images of "the feathered serpent."

NOTE: In most browsers you can click on a photo to view a larger version. There are many more photos posted here than show at any given time in this left-hand column. See the Archives listing (below Previous Posts) in the right hand column. And here’s the link if you wish to read an Introduction, Background, & Technical Aspects post about this blog.

‘til next take, may you enjoy life in the ever changing light,
