MAKING FRIENDS

"Making Friends" (5-27-15 034v2) was just taken a couple days ago and "finished" this morning. Not much to say about it except that I have tried many times over the years to get a shot I really like of this tree. The source photo for this pic is a much larger shot, taking in much more of this intriguing tree. However, glaring white buildings and such to one side necessitated a lot of cropping. I've tried snapping from many other angles, as well, in which different problems show up. But I do like "Making Friends," especially for that one agapanthus bloom hanging out right below it. And I'll keep working at getting a good, more comprehensive photo of this tree. I'm re-discovering that having a subject goal can be very motivating and energizing. Sometimes only knowing I want to get a pic of that, say, jacaranda tree before all the blossoms are gone, will get me out of my rooms and walking.
