EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT

Another Christmas rose (see previous post), this one taken 12-8-15, so it was truly an "Early Christmas Gift" (12-8-15 002v3a) from nature. These particular roses have such distinctive ways of unfolding at their centers. Shots I've posted here of new and years old pix have almost the identical arrangement. Guess that makes sense, given gene theory (smile). BTW, I did very little to this pic. Just a big cropping (as usual, had to take it a distance away), slight darkening of the midtones, and a wee bit of sharpening and diffusing. Oh, and painting out a few very small distracting spots.

NOTE: In most browsers you can click on a photo to view a larger version. There are many more photos posted here than show at any given time in this left-hand column. See the Archives listing (below “Previous Posts”) in the right hand column. And here’s the link if you wish to read an Introduction, Background, & Technical Aspects post about this blog.

‘til next take, may you enjoy life in the ever changing light,
