FRENCH BRAID

"French Braid" (9-15-16 013v2) is one of many shots I took of the spine of this waving palm frond. It was actually great fun to stand there, waiting for the wind bursts to stop and leave that spine at rest (oh so briefly) in full view again so I could snap a pic. Also, the shadows on this frond varied as there were other palms in the periphery also getting moved in the breezes. My first thought on seeing this frond was "Zipper!" The black and white versions (regular and inverted) actually look more like zippers. This one, especially once I'd done some minor fussing at it, began to look more like a french braid. (Something I've never learned how to do or had done with my own long hair, though I like the look.)
