WAITING FOR THE LAST UNICORN

"Waiting for the Last Unicorn" is an old favorite of mine, posted here earlier (8-15-13). It puts me in mind of those unicorn tapestries of the 15th century. No unicorn, but somehow it has the atmosphere of those old wall hangings. (At least to my eye.) It's intriguing, too, that I've not since been able to duplicate the sort of tapestry texture of this pic version. It was probably mostly an artifact of being only a very small corner of a bigger photo. I.e., that considerable cropping messed in an unusual way with the focus. Plus anything else I may have done to it at the time, such as a combo of Photoshop filters. (BTW, I think my "last unicorn," metaphorically speaking, did finally arrive fairly recently. Offering a very different sort of "magic" from any I've known or imagined!)

NOTE: In most browsers you can click on a photo to view a larger version. There are many more photos posted here than show at any given time in this left-hand column. See the Archives listing (below Previous Posts) in the right hand column.
