New Spring Line is a brand new edit of an old picture. For the five springs I've been living here in south central California I have enjoyed these blossoms. We don't have a profusion of them on our grounds, like so many of the other flowers in our gardens. So I watch the two areas in which I now know they appear. This was taken in front of a white brick wall which is always problematic, explaining why (beyond my penchant for doing so) I inverted the colors. Usually then I will take the color on these blooms back to their natural red. But I so like these aqua and green shades, and the painting-like effect, that I'm letting it stand. The entire result puts me in mind of a designer's watercolor sketch for a new spring line of skirts.
