COMING TO LIGHT

Coming to Light (10-6-13, 12207v3) is a little over a year old, and just worked over this morning for the third time. The original shot is a very distant shot of the entire tree. Its leaves in the afternoon light always fascinate me. However, I've yet to find just the right light and angle for a full shot. There are white buildings all around off which the too bright sky shines. Take it later when the sky's softer? I lose the lovely shine on the leaves. Another case in which my lack of tech knowledge (and even greater lack of patience in researching and learning the nuts and bolts of photography) does not serve my wishes well. So be it. I do like this cropped down version.
