A BRUSH WITH SUNSET

"A Brush With Sunset" (12-22-14 002v4) is a very new photo, the "paint" barely dry on this version. It's been problematic, but it has also kept me trying to rescue it. (I so enjoy looking at these sunsets.) I can't even say how many different crops alone I tried. Then there's the various textures I tried, settling on this sort of water color effect. And the light I took it in to begin with? As well as it being a landscape shot? Well, my little compact digital combined with my minimal tech skills made for quite a challenge. I must admit this pic comes close to capturing what I felt looking at this sunset, despite it's composition issue. I could wish for less of that tree. However, cropping it down makes a different and less interesting mess of the photo's balance. So, in a way, I've settled for the lesser of two evils with this crop. :-)
