ARTEMIS AT HER BATH
Yesterday I posted a new version of an old pic of a garden statue that's long gone from our grounds. Then later stumbled across the original years old pic for today's post of yet another favorite piece of statuary that no longer graces our promenade garden. This figure was part of a tiered bird bath. She always put me in mind of "Artemis At Her Bath" (5-7-15 11035e4), not yet aware that Actaeon is spying on Her through the foliage. I tried this pic in various color combinations, but like the inverted black and white most. It best brings out the sheltering fern branches, without overwhelming the central female figure/bird bath.
