COLD HEART

"Cold Heart" (5-1-13 12691ev5) was re-worked yesterday from an old photo. And, yes, as I just noted a couple posts ago, it's a type of shot/crop I work with a lot. Close, down into a blossom center. I'm readily seduced by the shapes, shadows, and seeds roses especially offer. Back to this pic, along with heavy cropping, I also fooled with texture filters. I think this one is either water color or dry brush. Additionally, somewhere along the way, I inverted the colors and then re-inverted them after changing them. That last (inverting, changing colors, and re-inverting) can produce some surprising color combos I don't arrive at readily any other way.

NOTE: In most browsers you can click on a photo to view a larger version. There are many more photos posted here than show at any given time in this left-hand column. See the Archives listing (below Previous Posts) in the right hand column. And here’s the link if you wish to read an Introduction, Background, & Technical Aspects post about this blog.

‘til next take, may you enjoy life in the ever changing light,
