A KISS TO REMEMBER

We could sure use some of the rain this pix shows! (Actually it's only a year old pic, and that was one of the rare rain storms we had last year, too.) "A Kiss to Remember" (4-8a-15 028v2) was cropped today from a somewhat bigger pic. I did some color fussing to bring it closer to my memory of the rose's actual color. It's hard to remember color (and scent is harder yet) with any real accuracy, isn't it ... at least for me. But I do think this is close to the original bloom's shade of pale peach. I also did a little fussing with texture and contrast to bring out the rain drops a bit more; also had to paint out some distracting background "schmutz." I was going to say how good it is to post a realistic pic, yet after all that, how realistic is it really? Then I realized (again) that by just choosing an angle from which to frame a shot, and the time of day, one has already begun the editing process. No way around it. The photog is present, to one degree or other, in every pic.
