SUMMER'S LAST HURRAH
"Summer's Last Hurrah" (11-20-18 002[2]) was just morphed from a previous version of a 9-month old pic of mine. Not much else I can say about it. I do kind, sorta like it. But I keep itching to get at it (and just about any photo I've worked on since getting my new computer) with that version of Photoshop I have on my old 'puter. But given the givens of the editing program I do have available, this isn't an awful pic. Just not one I'd write home to mom about. :-)
On a different, if related subject, I've noted an increasing resistance to taking any new pix. Up til now I've pretty much credited that to not have an editing program I'm happy with. However, I think there's more going on. My shift seems to be more and more towards morphing whatever pix I already have (thousands of them). Torturing them into being non-representational, or very close to it. And there may be a connection between that and all the spectacular, very good realistic photos I keep seeing online that are making any of mine look more and more amateurish to me by comparison. Not that I was ever professional, but I had a certain amount of ego denial going on that allowed me to like some [sic: a very few] of my realistic pix. When it comes to non-representational pix, well, maybe I'm fooling myself there also. But I tend to think that overall they're better art than my realistic ones. Uh, well, maybe my newer ones tend to be better. In any case, I enjoy messing with my pix and turning them every which way but up, and morphing the behoositz outta them. Gives this old (and rapidly getting older) lady something to do with her still curious and active mind. Other than record her night dreams and write poems about them, something I still do. (You can Google for "Roswila's Dream & Poetry Realm" to see some of those night dream and other sorts of poems of mine.)
