Drawing From Memory is (surprise, surprise...) a re-working I made yesterday of a very old photo. These shells and such were actually in the large wooden tub in which a very tall fir (pine?) tree grows on our grounds. I have lots of old shots I've taken of the changing array of items that wind up resting there for a while. It can also be interesting to watch the various shadows the light casts on them at different times of the day filtered through the fir branches. I did not, for a change, color invert this one. But only took it into sepia tones, and then adjusted the saturation and constrast a bit. (I did not resist making a color inverted version earlier, though, and changed its colors to blue and white. You can see it here: High Tide.)

NOTE: In most browsers you can click on a photo to view a larger version. There are many more photos posted here than show at any given time in this left-hand column. See the Archives listing (below Previous Posts) in the right hand column. And here’s the link if you wish to read an Introduction, Background, & Technical Aspects post about this blog.

‘til next take, may you enjoy life in the ever changing light,
