A DIFFERENT SLANT
A Different Slant (3-3-14a 009v2) is among a batch of "try out" pix I took with a new camera a friend just gave me. (A thoughtful, generous, much appreciated gift.) I see an improvement in the pix I've taken, from close-ups, to mid-range, to distance shots like this one. And with its higher pixel count I can crop even smaller sections out of a photo and still retain clarity. It's even somewhat smaller than my Samsung and (tahDAH!) has a lithium ion battery so I won't be buying AA's like crazy. Both the friend who gave it to me and I were concerned about it's being a wide angle camera. But I can't see that that has negatively effected the shots I've taken so far, and I've taken quite a range. I do have some learning to do about this Fujifilm camera as I haven't even downloaded its manual yet.
Back to "A Different Slant," I've posted other pix here very similar to this one. But not with such an intriguing sky and not taken from ground level. I usually snap this view from the second floor overpass so that the buildings are on the "up and up." However, I liked that echo of their slants in the clouds above and that ramp down.
