AFTERNOON SHADOWS

"Afternoon Shadows" (9-13-10 10114e) is from (can you guess?) that same old folder I've been in for days. I've liked this shot from the first time I saw it on my screen, years ago. But it just didn't quite make it to me for some obscure reason back then. I'm glad I came across it again during this time that I've been working quite a bit in black and white. Because having the thought to convert it to b&w to emphasize all those lovely shadows, has finally made it post worthy. BTW, this is from an overpass between two buildings of the retirement community I live in, that on one side looks out over the front gate entrance. I often sit there, and gaze at the distant mountains and draft poems ... and take pictures.
