This is a two year old photo I've always sort of liked, Sing Out! The colors are in my family of favorites. And I enjoy the delicacy of the petals in that slight back lighting. (The sun was actually behind me, but it was reflecting off the white wall behind the gladiolas.) But I could wish for better focus. My forever wish. Maybe someday I'll make the effort to learn how to go off the automatic settings for my camera. Though I hasten to add it's not only my clinging to habit, but the thought that the effort might not make much difference. After all, my camera is no great shakes. In the meantime, I console myself (whether accurately or not) that in photos like this, the slight fuzziness creates an almost painting-like effect.
