BEARDING THE LION

Bearding the Lion (4-24-13) is a few months old, just worked on yesterday. Although I like the shapes I managed to finagle out of it with photoshop, I think it's the color combinations that please me most. Especially once I was able to get that background to drop out into that total black without losing the ripples and shades in the colors. I hope some day I'm able to apply this "let's try this and see what happens ..." approach to more areas in my life. Of course with these photos I always have the original to revert to (unless I've made the rare blunder) but that's not always so in, say, relationships. That last comment is revealing given the title of this photo. There are risks and then there are risks.

NOTE: In most browsers you can click on a photo to view a larger version. There are many more photos posted here than show at any given time in this left-hand column. See the Archives listing (below Previous Posts) in the right hand column. And here’s the link if you wish to read an Introduction, Background, & Technical Aspects post about this blog.

‘til next take, may you enjoy life in the ever changing light,
