EVERYTHING MELTS AWAY

"Everything Melts Away" (11-26-14 001v6a) is a rather new pic, just morphed this morning. These are some of my favorite colors. (Wish I had a nickel for every favorite thing I mention here. :-D) Once I'd cropped and colored it, I applied a Photoshop blur filter I'd not used before. It had the effect of blurring the less distinct areas more than the details, which I like and hope I'll recall how I got the effect. Then I used what's called "plastic wrap," the filter that produces those whitish or shiny outlines. I rarely like plastic wrap on a photo that's not been already greatly fussed with. But it can do some interesting things when used late in a lot of fudging, as here. BTW, the shapes in this pic are as they were in the original pic of a wide open rose, just cropped way down. I.e., I did not distort the shapes.

NOTE: In most browsers you can click on a photo to view a larger version. There are many more photos posted here than show at any given time in this left-hand column. See the Archives listing (below Previous Posts) in the right hand column. And here’s the link if you wish to read an Introduction, Background, & Technical Aspects post about this blog.

‘til next take, may you enjoy life in the ever changing light,
