WAND OF THE ICE QUEEN & FROLICKING FAE

Both "Wand of the Ice Queen" above and "Frolicking Fae" below, are brand new.

Although I ultimately enjoyed working these up into fantasy-like scenes, I'm getting more and more frustrated with my camera's focus issue. No matter what light I snap pictures in, no matter what setting I use, I'm finding it's harder and harder to get good focus on what's called "close" range shots (in my camera's specs). Yet, using the "landscape" setting on a very distant scene, I frequently get incredibly clear detail, even when cropping way down to a small portion of the photo. Ack! I am really thinking something is wrong with my camera. Actually, this has always been an issue on occasion, but since it's par for the course these days I think it's a progressive failing. Ah well, as I've noted here before, I have to get a new computer before I can even consider buying a better camera.

All that said, you may note the fantasy theme in the titles of these two pictures. I'd really like to escape to fairyland, and camera and computer issues are only the smallest part of why. Where's Peter Pan when you need him?
