LAVENDER BLUES and HIDDEN HEART

The above photo had been on my camera with some others for days before I finally worked on them last night. "Lavender Blues" was very hard to title as I see so many different things in it. And depending on what I see, the emotional tone changes entirely. But the colors seem to be the over-riding quality to me so I've stuck with those and the implied sadness ... that just might be lifting, like those leaves and the buds.

The original buds are a bright red, by the way. Here's one of them in another pic, "Hidden Heart":


Fully open now and in draping bunches, these little flowers are more a salmon pink. But I'm partial to "Lavender Blues."
