Willow Weep for Me appeared recently on my dreams & poetry blog. But I just spent way too much time with no decent results, trying to produce a new picture (well, new version of an old one at least). So I'm posting it here sooner than I usually would. I'm a bit compulsive about posting everyday and I do like "Willow Weep for Me." Its feel and title sort of fit my mood so far today and there's a sadness for me in just recalling where I took it. I can no longer take the long walk there (arthritic knee and ankle). Yet I'm grateful for the hundreds of photos I took on those long walks. Not to mention that close to home on the grounds of the retirement community where I live there are plenty of opportunities for new photos, once I'm up to taking some again.
By the way, this picture's color was inverted, and changed to sepia tones that I then fussed with a little bit. On seeing it on the navy background of this blog I once again noted how the color(s) around a picture can change one's perception of it. My other blog has a white background which makes the sepia tones of this photo appear ever so slightly warmer than it does here.
NOTE: In most browsers you can click on a photo to view a larger version. There are many more photos posted here than show at any given time in this left-hand column. See the Archives listing (below Previous Posts) in the right hand column. And here’s the link if you wish to read an Introduction, Background, & Technical Aspects post about this blog.
