FROZEN

"Frozen" (12-8-15 009v4a) is a new pic, morphed yesterday and "finalized" just now. Maybe being cold because I'm too lazy to get up and turn on the heat, influenced its look and title. (Smile ... shiver) Click here to see another version morphed yesterday and posted this morning to my dreams & poetry blog. I've mixed feelings about both "Frozen" and the other one, but what else is new? I do like their color combos, however.

LEAPING FOR JOY

"Leaping for Joy" (12-7-14 016b) was just now morphed from an old photo. What else to say about it? I'm probably most seduced by it's colors. But I also get a kick out of seeing the shapes as leaping. A sort of abstract version of "twelve lords a leaping"? Which is really more to the point, as I wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

CHRISTMAS LAUGHTER

"Christmas Laughter" (11-7-11 11379v5) is four years old in this crop. However, I recolored it today (the original roses are pale pink) and did a lot of messing around with the "texture." I've always liked this trio of roses, especially that quirky center of the open one. And though I hadn't consciously thought to make a Christmas version of it today, that's where it went by following my nose. BTW, this is one of those pix that looks somewhat better in a larger version. So just click on the image is you're curious.

TOTEM DANCE

"Totem Dance" (12-3-15 007v5c) is a recent pic that I just finished morphing now. Sigh, another of those that I liked a lot more when it first popped on my screen. Then, once I began to see little things that I wanted to change (some I could, others I can't), the liking waned to a luke warm OK. I'm probably most happy with the color combo and those suggestive shapes.

AFTER THE DROPPED STITCH

"After the Dropped Stitch" (11-24-15 050v6) is a recent pic, just morphed over a couple of days. It's one of those I liked much more when I first viewed it in this form. Now that a night has passed, I'm not as jazzed by it. So I've fussed a little more but "meh" remains my response. Not an uncommon experience for me. The opposite is also sometimes true, but far less frequently.

IT GIVES ONE PAUSE

"It Gives One Pause" (11-24-15 050v4) is a recent pic, fussed with this morning. (Click here to see another one just made today.) And these stairs around here really do give me pause, in a couple of ways. As I've said many times before, I so enjoy looking at and taking pix of their lines and shadows. But there's also always a little bit of a wish that I could still climb them. (Well, technically I can, but only in emergencies, such as an elevator outage. Because more than one or two climbs injures my arthritic joints.) If I could use them I could get out on their balconies and take shots of the grounds and of the staircases, too, from viewpoints I can't get at any other way.

EMBRACING THE DARK

"Embracing the Dark" (12-8-15 010v3) is a very new pic, just fussed with today. Lots more done to this than is even apparent. Though I did not morph any of the shapes. I'm always drawn to dying blooms. Though it's rare that a pic of one comes out usable as a straightforward shot (i.e., sans complete morphing), like this one. At least I think it's "usable" and even touching in a way.
