RIDING THE FINGER PAINT WAVES

"Riding the Finger Paint Waves" (6-28-09 2988v7a) was just slightly modified. It's a very old pic. As I have been saying here a lot recently, one of my oldest. Going back just short of 10 years. And it's another I can't say I'm over the moon about, but I do like the colors and implied movement.

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW (#2)

"As Above, So Below (#2)" is being posted without making any new changes to it today (except for a wee bit of clarifying). I like it, as is. Though I do wonder what I might be tempted to do to it if I had access to my old Photoshop program! Seriously ... I'm beginning to worry my "eye" will lose its sharpness (such as it may be) for possibilities and problems in pix since I just haven't got the editing ability now, and haven't for a while, to do anything about them. Has this old lady reached another point at which she'll be losing something major in her life? As when I had to start using a walker, and then couldn't even take long walks anymore with it. (Still hopeful that last may change a little bit, but it's a very small hope.) Will I adjust to producing pix that are even more mediocre and less creative? Simply because I can't handle learning a new complicated editing program (such as GIMP)? Or maybe don't even want to?

THE SHADOW EMERGES

"The Shadow Emerges" (10-24-15 019v9[2]) is a new coloration of an old pic of mine in which the rose is in shades of orange and yellow. I wasn't in a Halloween mood today, but liked its shapes and that central "shadow." So changed it to these cooler colors.

LOST ANGEL

"Lost Angel" (6-17-13 004[2]) was just slightly sharpened ("clarified" would be the term in the Windows 10 Photos program). It's one of my old pix that I've always liked. This bird bath has been gone from our Promenade garden for years and I still miss it occasionally when looking at the tree it used to rest beneath. But I've got a bunch of pix of it to remember it by, taken in differing lights and seasons.

RIPENING

"Ripening" (6-28-09 2982ev2b[3]) is a new version of one of my oldest pix. I really miss Photoshop when I look at this one. I'd lighten those darkish areas at the top just a wee bit. Or, conversely, darken those curves at the bottom edge. But overall, I'm content with it (as content as I ever am with a pic of mine, especially these days). As to editing programs that are more sophisticated than Windows 10 Photos? I've still got GIMP hanging fire on my 'puter until I'm up to struggling with learning how to use it. I'll probably get to doing that once I've started taking new pix. It's been some time since I have, but I've been getting that itch. I'll look at something and begin to "frame" it in my mind's eye for a shot. :-) But move on, for one reason or other. However, there will come a time soon when I'll stop and take out my camera.
