PARKED

"Parked" (10-26-17 006v5) was just "finished" -- fudged out of a very new pic. Which, of course, I already have a few other versions of in its folder. I've also posted older pix of this same tree (in surreal colors and artsy textures) in the past, taken at a different angle, season, and time of day. This is another of those trees I always enjoy standing near and looking at in my walks across Anisqoyo Park. Certain trees give my heart such ease and comfort for the time I'm with them. (With respect to this one: maybe someday I'll take a late afternoon walk -- I always go by mid-day -- and see how its aspect is changed by the totally different angle of sunlight.)

YOUR BRAIN ON IMAGINATION

"Your Brain on Imagination" (9-27-17 over-thinker...v2) was just fussed with a wee bit (color contrast increased) from an earlier version (LOL) of a very old pic version. In fact, I don't think I even have the original anymore. At least I can't find it. Which may, of course, simply mean the original's been so fudged with that I wouldn't recognize it if I tripped right over it. The title is new, however. It reflects my gratitude, actually, for our human imaginative capacity. It so often rescues me, as it did today. I went for the poem despite my thought that I shouldn't even bother, and the writing process wound up leading me to a better state of mind.

HAUNTED MOON

"Haunted Moon" (10-26-17 003v8) was just morphed from a brand new pic. What can I say? Between the suggestion of a full moon and the colors, well, I'm almost over the moon about it. But give me any time at all and I'll start picking at it, as is my wont. However, for now, I'm pleased with it.

OTOÑO

"Otoño" was just fixed up from a very new pic: cropping, color/contrast work, some sharpening, and using the lasso function to deal with some small distracting areas (lightening and/or changing their color). This was taken in Anisqoyo Park in Isla Vista, only yards from one of my favorite spots to sit on my walker and write and/or read. I still have some minor issues with this photo. But they're of the sort I've come across before: to change them changes the overall impact of the pic ... which I like and really don't want to change. So there! It's another flawed gem (LOL).

THE LONG FINGERS OF GHOSTS

"The Long Fingers of Ghosts" (8-15-17 003v9) was just fussed with from an earlier version of a several months old original pic. Not much done today, other than increasing the color contrast. But obviously the original editing was extensive. That title was probably influenced by Halloween coming up. (Also known as Samhain, in the Gaelic of the ancient Celtic tradition. BTW, it's pronounced "Sow-in" -- go figure gaelic. :-D)
