NIGHTMARE STAIRS

"Nightmare Stairs" (4-27-15 050v4c) was just morphed from an old pic (one of my favorite type of shots: the outdoor staircases around here). It almost amounts to a nightmare when I have to use this one when our elevator is out. Which, fortunately, is rarely. Not that it has injured me so far to use stairs when I have to (I go slow and have a hauling technique I've developed). But I'm always worried I'll hurt my good knee (which is slowly going arthritic too). 'nuff complaining. I enjoy taking pix of our staircases, with all their interesting angles and shadows. Just don't like climbing them.

MOON STONE

"Moon Stone" (3-28-16 001v2m) was just morphed this morning from a fairly new pic. And, as usual, I tortured several other versions out of it. However, I've only saved one other one, called "Sun Stone" (and, yes, it's the same pic in yellow and brown). I don't think either of them is any great shakes. But something about that central form tickles at a vague memory of an ancient stone carving I saw a pic of somewhere, a long time ago. And that makes me smile, therefore I've posted this one here and "Sun Stone" to my dreams&poetry blog today. I simply like seeing their memory tinged faces.

'ROUND AND 'ROUND

Yeah, I know, you've seen a gazillion fern photos here like this one. But that's the breaks. It's my blog and I love ferns, especially this big one. So "'Round and 'Round" (4-21-16 009v2d) go the repeating patterns of these ferns and my pix of them. This one is at least a new pic and realistic. Though, of course, I already have a couple of versions I've fudged with a lot.

RAVENOUS

"Ravenous" (4-21-16 022v3i) was just now morphed from a new version of a new pic. One of those original photos that's generating many different color combos as I so like the shapes and really want to see what other colors might do to it. That's a different sort of deep hunger than for food (which has been bedeviling me more than usual recently). One I'm happy to satisfy (however briefly) in such a non-caloric fashion.

CLIMBING THE SKY

"Climbing the Sky" (4-21-16 024v3) is largely the choice for today's post because it's realistic. But also because it's so hard for me to get a decent shot of this construction across from our community's front gate that's been (it seems) going on forever. There are all sorts of trees and one light pole that make even a meh crop hard. But I'm content with this one. Maybe mostly because of that blue crane, and white painted girders and sheet hanging down. Oh, and the red stair supports. Actually, this picture looks busier than the actual site tends to (smile).

PETROGLYPHIC

"Petroglyphic" (4-15-14 063v3a) is from an old pic, just now morphed. I may very well wind up wondering down the road a piece, what I saw in it enough to post (as I did recently about a very different non-representational pic). But right now I really enjoy looking at all the little things in it that remind of me of actual petroglyphs I've seen in photos. Though I have to admit to a little dissatisfaction with the overall shape of that rock shard (so to speak). It's rather meh as shapes go.

OCEAN LAIR

"Ocean Lair" (4-21-16 003v5) is one of those I mentioned as having been morphed from the same photo as yesterday's post. Not much more I can say about it except that I really like the color combo and the various geodesic shapes. BTW, those shapes are from the cactus itself, not any Photoshopping (as evidenced by yesterday's realistic pic).
