THE FUTURE LOOMS

"The Future Looms" (2-12-16 003v6a) was just morphed from an already morphed version of a fairly recent pic. Yes, there does seem to be a theme (see yesterday's pic/title). Even the poem I posted this morning reflects it, as does it's abstract pic. And as if the theme weren't obvious enough, both yesterday's pic here and the photomorph with the dream poem also have definite female elements. BTW, I didn't consciously choose this theme. I just found myself drawn to it (for reasons I understood as soon as I recognized it in yesterday's post).

CELEBRATING THE MASCULINE

"Celebrating the Masculine" (7-5-09 3251v3) was just morphed this morning from one of my oldest pix. (I've been coming back to this same old folder for days now and having fun.) I made a bunch of versions of this pic today, but this is the one I like the most. Though the longer I've looked at it (as I often say about my pix) the more problems I find in it. So I'm posting it now before it goes wonky on me as I try to "fix" those problems, prompting me to give up and try even more versions. As to the title? I'll leave that to your imagination. Smile.

WIND STORM

"Wind Storm" (7-5-09 3212ev3) is one of my oldest pix and versions thereof. The only thing I did to it on stumbling across it a couple of days ago was to brighten it a little bit. (Again, I find myself wondering if my recent urge to brighten most pix is not related to the advance of my cataracts. Ah well, I'll just have to let others' feedback be the measure of that.)

PYROCUMULUS

"Pyrocumulus" (8-23-16 010) was taken yesterday on the way back from my weekly ocean overlook walk. Just in case you don't know, this is not a regular cumulus cloud. But as its name indicates is the result of fire, the Rey fire. Right now our area is surrounded in three directions by wild fires. The Rey being the closest. The pyrocumulus cloud from it a couple of days ago, viewable all too clearly from our retirement community's dining room windows, was a great deal bigger and scarier than this one. But it, too, had the same sort of eerie beauty.

STILLNESS

"Stillness" (10-24-10 10009v2) has been hanging around in this version in its old folder for years. Not sure why I've not posted it before as when I stumbled on it today I recalled that I really do like it. Guess it's just one more example of how difficult it is sometimes to keep track of the better pix in a flock of over 12,000. (Hm, it may very well be that I didn't post it right away as I have another version somewhat like this that I did post. And not posting this one right away left it to fall between the cracks.)

JACARANDA MEMORY

"Jacaranda Memory" (8-16-16 016v5) is a very new pic. I've been passing under this tree on my weekly walk to the ocean overlook, each time greeted by fewer and fewer blossoms. This last time there was not one blossom left, just all that glorious tossing green. But, still, I briefly missed the blossoms ...
