A BURNING ISSUE

I just finished morphing "A Burning Issue" (10-20-09 7665v2d) from a very old photo, one of my oldest in fact. It's one of those rare times in which I had not even an inkling where to start, much less where I wanted to go with it. I just kept clicking on filters and such at random. Until the blossoms disappeared altogether, then I began choosing what to do with more intent. When I say "choosing," it's not a willful sort of choosing. It's more as if I'm letting myself be pulled along, and enjoying the ride.

MY CUP OF TEA

"My Cup of Tea" (8-18-15 005v8b) was just morphed this morning. Honestly, if I had more time I'd probably go to another folder and see what I could find and/or fudge with there. But I'm in a time crunch and I do like quite a bit about this pic. In very real way, it is my cup of tea. Maybe not yours, and I do have little problems with it myself. But let's drink of what it offers anyway, I say!

NIGHT CROSSING

"Night Crossing" (1-17-15 010v10c) was just morphed today from another version of a relatively recent pic. Another version from this morning is here on my dreams& poetry blog. Both of these pix appeal to me in some way I can't quite get at to express. I'll leave it at that. Though will add just because they appeal to me doesn't mean I don't have a quibble or two with them. I do. But they're very minor and may be more a matter of my tendency not to be content with anything I produce.

MUST YOU SHOUT!

"Must You Shout!" (9-23-13 001v7c) is another from an old pic, just morphed this morning. And (as usual) it's only one of many versions. Also as usual, I'm not fully content with this version even. Maybe it's my advancing cataracts (or, here's an idea, even a real issue), but more and more I'm noticing a difference in pic shades and intensities between MS Picture Manager and Photoshop. Then once posted here to blogger? Well, often there's further trouble. Frustrating. And that sometimes prompts my trying a pic in black and white, just to see if I can get away from this struggle to get the coloring that I want.

THE GATHERING GLOOM

"The Gathering Gloom" (9-23-12 12150v7e) is from another of those folders that I've gotten "stuck" in. Not only that, but I made another version of this particular pic today, and posted it to my dreams&poetry blog with today's dream poem. Once I have a "template" pic I really like I just can't resist seeing what else I can make out of it.

THE ROSE TAKES A NAP

Yup, "The Rose Takes A Nap" (9-23-12 12154v2a) has a story like many of mine these days. One of several versions of an old pic reclaimed in my on-going archiving/deleting project. However, I did just make this version this morning. And, again a familiar story, I still can't rest content with it. But at least it comes closer to expressing what I see in this rose center than the other versions.

THE SHOUT OUT

OK, this one may be another "face that only a mother could love." But there's something about "The Shout Out" (7-3-13 003v6b) that I like looking at. Maybe it's the animation I see and I try to hint at in the title; something seems to be in motion, opening, speaking out (so to speak). This version has been hanging around with its slew of siblings for some time now. And I finally decided to take it seriously enough to fix up the little things that bothered me so that I could post it.
