...AND THE CREEK WILL ALWAYS RISE

"...And the Creek Will Always Rise" (5-16-17 016v2b) was just now morphed from a fairly new pic. Pretty much reflects my mood: the flood will always come, welcomed/needed or not. Hope it shows up OK on your browser. This is one of those that looks even darker than it is on my editing screen in blogger, but fine in my other programs. Sigh, I'm so tired of problems. Yeah, seems my flood right now is that of self-pity, doesn't it? Well, it's a gorgeous day out there even if I can't yet go for a long walk (right knee's been acting up terribly). And I had fun messing with this pic, so it ain't all awful. I also suspect this is one of those pix that when I view it later on I'll wonder what the blazes I was thinking to even post it. (P.S., the relative darkness of this pic isn't too bad now that I see it published to blogger, given that it is a dark one. Especially when viewed in a larger version; just click on the image to see what I mean. Maybe I should just give up complaining about this issue ["if I had a nickel..."] and accept it.)

SPRING EVENING

"Spring Evening" (6-4-17 002v2f) is the source pic for yesterday's morph, flipped on its head and fudged with a whole lot more. I can't seem to stay away from this agapanthus bloom photo. It's one of those endlessly suggestive pix I come across once in a while. LOL ... "once in a while" is rather an understatement. My pic folders are filled with multiple versions of fave pix. BTW, when I say "fave" that's not to say I think these pix are really good. Occasionally, very occasionally, a pic or two in a batch will actually be what I would consider good. But that's not common. It's just that something about my faves gives me a lot of joy when I work on them. (Also, try clicking on this pic to see the detail.)

DON'T BLINK OR YOU'LL MISS IT

"Don't Blink or You'll Miss It" (6-4-17 006v2c) was just now morphed from a very new pic. (Click here to see it in its representational form.) What to say about "Don't Blink or You'll Miss It" other than I had a good time fudging with it in Photoshop. In a way its title is how I'm thinking about life these days. I.e., I shouldn't blink or I may miss something delightful or important. Maybe that's sort of inevitable as one gets nigh on to 74 years old. Yeah, I'm feeling every one of my years. Mostly in my body, but my mind does tire more readily, too. Yet there's the world, always calling out to be known. "Known" in the sense of experienced. Guess that call comes to us all, regardless of age. And, please, this pic really needs to be seen in a larger version so click on the image.

CONTEMPLATING A SWIM

"Contemplating A Swim" (6-4-17 009v2) was just fussed out of a two day old, larger pic. I have a couple of little problems with it that I can't do anything about. But overall I enjoy it.

THE JONESING BRAIN

"The Jonesing Brain" (12-21-16 012v4) was just further fussed out of a several month old version of a six month old original pic. I'm not sure why this ochre color sky appeals to me but it does. I have many different versions of this bare tree against the sky as I love those twisty branches. But I haven't been all that fond of this one's sky color until today. Maybe it's my rather (to say the least) somber mood. Convinced I'm a failure and feeling unloved/undesired are the topics of two very recent poems, if that gives you any idea. It'll pass. The Tarot said (well, the cards don't talk, but my brain does when I look at them) it's mostly PMS. That is, Pre-Moon syndrome -- my usual crazies under the last few days before a full moon, the waxing gibbous phase. The Strawberry Full Moon will be here this Friday and I should be a little bit better then. Notice I say "a little bit," don't think there's a cure coming any time soon for what really ails me.
