SPRING RAIN

"Spring Rain" (8-18-09 5770v5), one can hope, can't one? And need I even say it that there are several other versions of this old pic, just morphed this morning. But I like this one the best, though would have loved to post the straightforward crop of these canna leaves. I'd just have had to do too much painstaking painting out of distracting little dried water spots. Maybe I'll be up to that chore sometime in the future. At least today I have a heavily fussed with version I'm quite content to post. (A version that's been "washed clean," if you will, of those dang spots without having to focus on them, one by one by one... ack!) This is probably best viewed in a larger size, so click on the pic if your're so inclined.

ANCIENT GODDESS OF DRIFTWOOD

Yippee! A brand new photo ("Ancient Goddess of Driftwood" 2-12-16 001v6), taken today. It's been some time since I've wanted to take pix, and then to have a new one net a version I really like ... well, it's like a Valentine's gift. And although I did a lot to this pic, I did not fudge with the shapes or lines at all. They're all there, in that cool driftwood piece that's balanced against a building wall on our grounds. Even as I took pix of "Her" from several different angles and distances, I was thinking even if none of the pix work out, just having seen and enjoyed this ancient Goddess was gift enough.

WILD MIND

"Wild Mind" (3-21-15 010v11e) was just morphed from a very old pic. That same pic has plenty of company in its folder from today's frustrating session of editing, along with other old ones. Given the title -- as well as the style and over all coloring -- one might correctly assume the probable reason. Monkey mind has had the bit in its teeth for way too long.

BURNOUT

"Burnout" (1-23-16 8522v5) is one of many versions I recently morphed from a very old photo. (I posted another here a couple of days ago.) After much fussing earlier this morning, I finally accepted that today's not a good day for producing new pix, so was quite relieved to have this stash of "finished" pix from which to choose.

NIGHT OF FIRE & WATER

"Night of Fire & Water" (7-11-13 0052gb) is from an old version of an even older photo (as often these days) just now morphed into this form. What else to say about it? Lots of fussing underneath even all that I did to it today. As the old version I worked with had already been heavily fudged. Not sure how I feel about it. Something really draws me to it, but it may not be "all here" yet or may need something else done to it. Though what that might be is truly beyond me now given all the Photoshopping it's been through. Smile. Though I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't come across it some time in the future and instantly see a minor adjustment that "finishes" it to my satisfaction. One last tweak, so to speak. A not uncommon experience for me with both my photos and poems. BTW, to my eye this is one of those pix that looks better in a larger version, so try clicking on the image if you're interested.

EVEN IN WINTER

"Even In Winter" (12-11-12 12259ev5) was morphed from a very old photo (along with the usual cohort of other versions, of course) a few days ago. I'd made a note of it but promptly went on to other pix. So it warmed my rather chilly mood today to stumble on my note. A pic all ready for posting, one I wouldn't have to torture endlessly in order to make it presentable! Yay! "Even in winter," indeed, things can surprise us with warmth.

EDGE OF MIDNIGHT

"Edge of Midnight" (1-23-16 002v9a) was just fudged out of a very new pic. Not had much success this morning with pix. And although I don't dislike this one, I'm also not bowled over by it. At least (for me) it almost captures a certain mood the night has around here sometimes, with light from room windows hitting the greenery and reflecting off hard surfaces.
