THE TIDE'S LEAVINGS

I have a feeling "The Tide's Leavings" (3-2-15 005v15g) is going to be one of those I'll regret posting or at the very least wonder why I bothered to. But I've been working on various pix for some time this morning, in between doing other work, and this one is about the best of it (sadly). In a way, it is the leavings (sic: dregs) of the 13,000 photo ocean I have on my hard drive ... who's in a rotten mood? Moi? BTW, this pic is a little more interesting if you can see the details (the many, many fussy bits and pieces), so just click on the image if you'd like to.

AT THE EDGE OF CREATION

"At the Edge of Creation" (6-28-09 2988v5b) was just further morphed out of a very old version of one of my oldest pix. Love this color combo and the blurring with only the littlest bits of sharpening. Those wee emerging shapes put me in mind of various illos I've seen of creator gods in various American/Alaskan native traditions. If it wouldn't have made for a novella length title I'd have named it something to do with those deities/powers at their work at the start of it all ... :-D BTW, my apologies for yesterday's post. The more I look at it, the less I like it. As I've said on occasion here after a post, "What was I thinking?" Probably that was exactly the problem: too much thinking going on.

THE PUZZLE ORGANIZES ITSELF

"The Puzzle Organizes Itself" (7-9-09 3579v4a) is probably one that only its mother can love. And I wouldn't even say that I do "love" it. Only that there are things about it that appeal to me. I'll leave it at that, as it's obviously been heavily Photoshopped (and Microsoft Picture Managed, as well :-D). BTW, as I mentioned here recently, taking new pix might help lift me out of this mild funk when it comes to my pic work. But although I did think to dig out my camera on a long walk yesterday, I changed my mind. I've still got 13,000 pix on this computer to go through for deleting or archiving (on my external drive). And that's a slow, slow process, given I inevitably see something else I'd like to try with an old pic which then prompts production of one or more new versions of it. Further slowing down that initial project of getting down the number of pix on my computer. Ack! Complain, complain. Maybe just leave it all be for a while ... let the puzzle pull itself together for a bit, ey?
