DOORWAY TO A DREAM

"Doorway to a Dream" (in early to mid-2013 folder) is another re-post. Here's what I said about it on posting in 2013: ...from my newest batch of photos, just edited a couple days ago. Yeah, same old color family and style of shot. But I like it. I especially like that sort of hooded effect of the petals above the darkness of the center. Is it welcoming, opening up? Or shy and closing down? Or even an ominous portent? Don't know, just like there's a lot of 'don't knows' in dreams... I'm surprised I didn't mention in that old post how much I like this purple/lavender. Yeah, it feeds me whenever I manage to get it in a pic. For some reason it's a tough one to get. Even though it shows on screen, I imagine it might not print well. Greens and yellows are also problematic. Actually, color in general. I can view a pic in four different programs and there will be four different takes on the same color. And forget printing it out! Ah well, I've pretty much learned to live with this problem. And thoroughly enjoy when a color seen on the screen in an editing program, is as I have struggled to make it. Knowing full well I may not see it quite the same again on my blog or in a another editing program or in a print copy.

ECSTASIS

"Ecstasis" is another re-post (from 2012, pic probably in folder about 3 years earlier). Have always really liked this photomorph, right from the first time it flashed on my screen after something I'd tried out. I didn't even have Photoshop back then (I got P/S in 2015) and now wonder -- all these years later -- how I got these effects. The comments I made with my first posting here of it don't tell the full story, I'm sure. Though the major edit is clear: I inverted the colors. In any case, I'm delighted to have come across it today.

GOOD TO THE LAST DROP

"Good to the Last Drop" is a re-post of a pic I took in March of 2010 and posted in early 2013. From that old post: "I'm dating myself with the photo's title. Remember that old commercial for Maxwell House coffee?"
