IN THE FOOTPRINTS OF THE LEOPARD

"In the Footprints of the Leopard" (3-24-10 10006v6b) was just now morphed from an old version of a much older original pic of mine. One I've been torturing into all sorts of shapes and colors and textures recently. Well, this old lady has to find her fun somewhere, doesn't she?

ALL PATHS CONVERGE

"All Paths Converge" (3-24-10 10006v2c) was just now morphed from an old version of one of my oldest original pix. Nothing much to say about it. One day I'll save all the versions that lie beneath any abstract I finally make the "final" version. (I.e., decide that it's at least postable here, if not any great shakes.) I don't think anyone would believe how many there often are. I just get "on the scent" of something and keep on keepin' on. Though I have to admit today's is not really as satisfying as others I've tortured out of my pix. But it'll do on this blue mood, rainy day.

"WHEN YOU'RE STRANGE, FACES COME OUT OF THE RAIN..."

"WHEN YOU'RE STRANGE, FACES COME OUT OF THE RAIN..." (3-27-10 8679v12c) was just morphed from a very old version of an even older original photo of mine. Yeah, its title was influenced by another rainstorm that's worrisome for those burn scar areas that had humongous mudslides back in January. It also reflects my ongoing mood; more than a bit strange. BTW, you may recognize the title as it's from the old Doors song, "People Are Strange." Humph! No more strange than I am, or than what I see in other people these days.

HARBORING THE LAST LIGHT

"Harboring the Last Light" (5-30-10 10009v2a) was just morphed from an old version of a very old original pic of mine. One of those many photos over the years that keep generating new versions when I stumble across them again. The stand of cannas this was taken in is now a sad remnant of what I photographed back then. But I'm delighted to have many, many pix of it, in different states of growth and blossoming. This pic is especially fun, given that non-canna blossom that joined the fray that season. BTW, in case it's not obvious, it was not a night shot. I just fussed at it and it began to look a bit like one. So I stayed with that suggestion of night taking over, but light not totally defeated ... yet.

UP CLOSE & PERSONAL

"Up Close & Personal" (5-30-10 10013v5c) was just now morphed from an even older version of a very old original photo of mine. The original's one of those many pix that keeps generating more morphs. What fun! I hesitate to say anything about what I see in today's version, and how it's referenced in the title. That would be a bit like explaining a joke, taking the surprise of discovery out of it. But I'll say it anyway: if any female sexual parts seem to be suggested, yes, I see them, too. And played them up with (exaggerated) color.
