FLOE COLLAPSE; & LAST CALL BEFORE CLOSING

"Floe Collapse" (8-13-10 10006v7) was just morphed from an old pic (so, what else is new? smile). And to show how differently I often wind up working with pix, here's the version just previous, also done today, "Last Call Before Closing" (8-13-10 10006v5):

THE NIGHT TO COME

"The Night to Come" (1-23-16 oldpica2) is yet another of my oldest pix after going through several revisions through the years. And even so, I just had to fuss at it this morning to clear up the focus (the overall blurring is intentional, but it was -- not surprisingly -- beginning to go wonky at the less blurred edges).

KIRLIAN FERNS

"Kirlian Ferns" (8-18-12 12118ev3f) was just morphed today (yep, from an earlier morph of a really old pic). Remember the fuss many years ago about Kirlian photos of the energy coronas of plants, and even some objects?

IN THE FURNACE OF THE ROSE

"In the Furnace of the Rose" (10-05-09 7369v12f) was just morphed today from yet another old version of an even older photo. It's at times like this that I'm very grateful I keep so many folders of old pix going way back. I really like this one. And almost posted the version I tortured it from. But just could not leave it alone, and the few changes that I wound up making did improve it (IMHO).

TWILIGHT REFLECTIONS

"Twilight Reflections" (10-29-09 7932v3) was just picked at a tiny bit today. It's an old version of a much older photo. One I've always liked but had hesitations about. After fudging a differently colored version of it today I finally decided I really like this one, as is. So all I did was sharpen it a wee bit to bring out the sort of scratchy texture somewhat. And, as I'd hoped, that also brightened it just a little (as sharpening sometimes does).

ALL FALL DOWN

"All Fall Down" (9-2-09 6439v2xx) is from a very old photo, that's now one of gazillions of versions I've made of one particular version of one particular crop. And that's truly it for what I can say about it. Other than I'm drawn to post it more for how it reflects my mood, than for anything else about it.

SCORPIO MOON

"Scorpio Moon" (8-18-09 5770ev8a) is, believe it or not, from the same pic as yesterday's post. I worked from a different version of that original pic, one that had "spherical" applied. I then used "emboss" which is where those multiple curving lines came in. Also did a great deal of color work, blurring, re-sharpening, diffusing, color inverting and re-inverting, and so on. (As with many pix I work extensively on I could almost hear it squeal at times. Smile) And had to reverse some processes because the pic just couldn't handle them without going wonky. Yup, and I find this entire process a great deal of fun, 'cuz I never know where it will wind up. As today, I would never have expected a Scorpio moon.
