SUNSET OVER OCEAN

"Sunset Over Ocean" (10-24-15 011v6a) is from a 6 month old photo, just morphed yesterday. I'm such a sucker for bright colors like these, up next to each other. Other than that, the more I've looked at this pic, the less I've been enthused about it. (My responses to things tend to change rather readily these days, like that adolescent I've felt like since I turned 72 this January. Yeah, that can be rather exhausting, but overall, I'm enjoying feeling so youthful inside again.)

JOY WILL OUT

"Joy Will Out" (10-27-15 022v7b) was just morphed this morning from a six month old pic which (what else is new? smile) has many other versions accompanying it from earlier sessions at my computer. Nothing much other than that to say about it, as it's obviously been very heavily fussed with. I will add that I was rather delighted when it popped on my screen as I'd been at this pic for some time, and others in other folders before it. Without good result and I'm a little rushed today. So, joy did out in a way, didn't it?

CHROMOSOME CAPER

"Chromosome Caper" (3-28-16 001v2f) was just morphed yesterday (along with a batch of similar others) from a weeks old photo. It was a pic of a slightly quirky, blush white rose (looking down into it, the bloom filling the square crop). I'm still thinking to produce a realistic version of the original photo. But yesterday its shapes kept inviting me to explore elsewhere. And capering with chromosomes is where I wound up.

IN THE COOL COOL COOL OF THE EVENING...

"In the Cool Cool Cool of the Evening..." (1-28-15 008v4f) is from an old version of an even older pic, just morphed today. Another version I made of it today is posted here with today's poem on my dreams & poetry blog. In fact, the above version is just a color inversion of the one on my dreams & poetry blog. I often color invert any pic I'm working on, especially after I consider it "finished." Just to see what inversion does to it. And even if I don't like the inversion, it will sometimes highlight a problem spot I then recognize I need to deal with in the un-inverted version, though that didn't happen here.

BIRTH OF A SUN

"Birth of a Sun" (3-24-16 015v5a) is from a recent rose garden pic, that's been morphed and morphed, with not all versions resulting saved. Of those I did save this one's my favorite. Even after experiencing something with this one that sandbags me occasionally about pix I've had sitting around for a while "stewing" and then suddenly like. I got little bits about it finished, was just about to post it and, yikes, I saw why I'd let it hang fire. I.e., the big problem jumped out at me again. Often that means a lot more work on the pic or moving on to a different pic altogether. In this case, I was able to readily "fix" it and to my relief with very little change to what had drawn me back to it to begin with.

THE MOON DREAMS OF BEING THE SUN

"The Moon Dreams of Being the Sun" (3-28-16 032v2f) is the most recent of a series of previous versions of a new pic (as is my wont; pic, from pic, from pic...). Nothing much else to say if I want to steer clear of being hyper-critical. And I do. It's getting tiresome, another sort of "pick, pick, pick." If you'll pardon that bad pun.

LIFE IN THE DEPTHS

"Life in the Depths" (3-3-16 002v12c) is a recent morph of a new pic, just further fussed with this morning. Another of those many pix that I can't leave alone. It keeps suggesting further places it can be taken. I used the image of "nesting dolls" today on my dreams & poetry blog. And would say it's almost as if many photos are like that for me: open them and there's another pic, and then another inside that one, and so on, into infinity. (Or at least until the pic goes totally wonky on me from so much editing. Smile.)
