HIVING OFF

"Hiving Off" (10-27-15 02v4t) was just morphed from an old version of an even older pic, that I've been fussing at for days. Finally got it to let loose and fly. Or as much as any pix I'm producing these days fly. Yeah, it's that sort of cranky, picky mood today. Eh, what "today"? The mood's taken up residence it seems. But at least it's shot through with gratitude for having pix to fuss at (and poetry to torture into some kind of shape and feet to drag on lovely long walks ... and the occasional fully engaging talk with a friend).

PROVIDENTIAL

"Providential" (10-27-15 028v2) was just finalized today after a few days of bit by tiny bit fussing. Overall, not much was done to it. Mostly minor color adjustments, some painting out of tiny distracting spots, texture work, contrast, and cropping. Well, yeah, that sounds like a lot. I guess what I mean is not a lot was changed all the much from the old edited version I've been working on. Just lots of little things to give it a "face lift," if you will. I just checked the folder and see I don't even have the original pic anymore. Which is highly unusual. So it's quite providential, after all, to wind up with this newer version.

SWIMMING AGAINST THE TIDE

"Swimming Against the Tide" (8-12-15 019v2c) was just morphed from an old version of an older pic. And it's how I'm feeling today. Hell "today," most of my life! And it took many wanderings through other very unsatisfying versions to land here, only to wind up swimming like crazy against the tide.

WATER FAIRY

Yup, "Water Fairy" (10-27-15 022v4h) is yesterday's pic, further morphed. What can I say that I haven't said here before about getting stuck not only in a particular folder of pix, but at a specific pic? It's fun. I both like and dislike, however, the blurry effect here. It goes well with the fairy I see in it, but it's hard on the eyes' need for focus. Well, my old eyes with their cataracts (and lack of proper vision correction ... i.e., I really need new glasses) have a wee bit of trouble when I first view this pic. But at least I can still see fairies! So the world isn't all doom and gloom.

THEY SEE RIGHT THROUGH HER

"They See Right Through Her" (10-27-15 022v4g) was just now morphed (as so often) from an old version of an even older pic. I love staghorn ferns, especially this particular one on our grounds. Haven't been around that direction in a long time ... wonder how it's doing.

NURSING AT THE TEATS OF THE NIGHT

"Nursing at the Teats of the Night" (10-29-09 7924v4b) was just morphed from a very old version of one of my oldest pix. And that's about all I have to say about it, as it's obviously had a ton of editing done on it. Well, also, believe it or not, for such a fussy pic there was a tiny spot I had to do some painting over on because it was distracting. Whenever I say something like that here (or on my poetry blog with reference to a word being problematic or distracting) I think of that fairy tale, The Princess and The Pea. Am I being way too sensitive? Eh! So what! Even if I am, it's my work and I'll nurse away until I feel fully nourished. That's not to say I ever think anything I do is perfect or finished. I just reach a point of satiation.
