HAPPY NEW YEAR!

"Happy New Year!" (12-19-16 012v6a) was just re-morphed from a new version of a new pic. Guess that's appropriate for a title referencing a new year. To be honest, I'm not all that jazzed about it, but don't think anything I can do right now would please me. Yeah, one of those New Year's. And I'll leave it at that. Except for a bit of complaining: I sure wish these different programs I work within would give me the same results on the screen. This is one of those pix that shows up somewhat differently in different programs. And given all the fussy detail that makes for more of difference than it has with other pix. And it always has to do with color, shades and/or contrast and/or saturation. Sigh. Ah, well, another lesson in nothing being perfect. Not even computer programs (BWG [big wry laugh]). And, if after all that complaining you're still interested, try clicking on the image to see the details.

AFTER THE FLOOD

"After the Flood" (12-15-16 021v2a) was morphed a while ago from a new pic. All I did to it today was saturate the cyans a wee bit to get the "watery" spots to show a bit more. The original is of those fabulous tree root systems of which I take lots of pix.

NIGHT IN THE ARBOR

"Night in the Arbor" (12-19-16 012v6b) was just now finished. I've been fussing at it for days. It's from a very new pic and it's gone through many, many "incarnations." (A couple of which I saved.) Of course as often happens, now that I've prepared it for posting I'm liking it less. Such is life, or at least mine. I will add that "Night in the Arbor" is more interesting in a larger version so you can see all the little details. Just click on the image if you're so inclined.

HEART ON ICE

"Heart on Ice" (11-4-14 026v3b) is (as all too often, lol) a new morph of an old morph of an even older photo. I'd hoped to have totally new pix to chose from today but when I pulled out my camera yesterday I found I'd (yikes!) forgotten to charge my camera battery. Another symptom of aging as that's something I've never done before. Of course, I'd been using a different camera, on and off, for years before this one, that required AA batteries that I could (and always did) just carry extras of with me. But the only working camera I now have left has a lithium ion battery that has to be charged at a wall socket. Still not used to checking the low battery indicator on the screen, much less then remembering to charge it. Anyway, it's always fun to work on old pix. (Of course, if I were inclined to both do the research and go to the expense, there is a little portable battery recharger one can buy for smartphones and such. Could probably get one that would work for my camera battery, and then stuff it in my shoulder bag with everything else I cart around. But, at least at this point, I'm not so inclined. Hey, I'd still have to remember to charge the recharger. Smile)

TESTING THE WATERS

"Testing the Waters" (9-24-14 014v5) was just fudged from an old version (as ever) of an even older pic. And as I've probably said here many times, I just love that stag horn fern and have taken many pix of it over the years.

THE DARK MAKES INROADS

"The Dark Makes Inroads" (1-17-15 010v10k) was just morphed from (yep!) an old version of an older pic. Nothing much to say about it that the title doesn't. But the days are getting longer and S.A.D. will loose its grip on me. Leaving me to deal with all the other stuff, but at least it will be well lit! BWG (big wry laugh).

SANTA VS. THE CHIMNEY

"Santa Vs. The Chimney" (10-26-12 12223ev6d) was just morphed now and given my mood, I'm surprised a Christmas, much less humorous theme showed up. But here 'tis, with a wish that your holidays be merry.
