Don't Go There is a reworking I just did a few days ago of another very old photo. It didn't wind up working with the dream poem post I'd thought to use it with, but it really seems to fit my mood today. As far as my usual nano-critique to go with it? I'm not going to go there ...

Tongue Tied is the original for "Warming to the Situation" which was posted here in June of this year. I'm not sure why I fooled around with it as on tripping across it today, I find I like "Tongue Tied" just fine, as is. (I also like the June '12 version.) This is the original cropping from October of 2009.

Storming the Gate (and here's what's becoming a mantra) is a very old photo, just revised today. One of those that doesn't bowl me over, but still tugs at my interest. I tried other sorts of coloration on it but none really worked and any further editing messed with the focus anyway. And the issue of focus leads me to that new camera I keep putting off getting until I have a new computer to handle the higher pixel count photos. Well, I just ordered a terrific new quad core computer (great discount plus help from a friend). It may take a while to get it all set up as I now have to save money towards a couple of programs. But, dang, this means I may have a new camera by spring! How will I then make excuses for wonky focus on my new pix? LOL.

Painting the Night -- need I even say it? -- is a very old photo, just re-worked today. I'm not really certain about it. I may yet go back to the original and try again for whatever it is that calls to me. But there is something about this version that I do like, so I'm sharing it here anyway.

Winter Fantasy, yes, another really old photo, but just re-worked today. After inverting the colors, I tried several different color combos and intensities but liked this one the most. Wonder when I'll feel like taking some new pictures? Ah, well, I'm definitely not suffering from a dearth of old photos to play around with. And going through old folders also affords me the opportunity to clean out pictures that realistically (or even abstractly) can't go anywhere but to the "recycle bin."
