LIGHTING

"Lighting" (2-18-15 009v2) was recently fixed up from an old pic. One of those I'd always thought had possibilities but despaired of ever getting to "work." Well, I think I've finally managed to do so. Mostly by finding the "right" crop after properly aligning it. Which was a more lengthy process than one might imagine; lots of trial and error involved. The rest was just slight color adjustment, a jot of diffusing, and a wee bit of sharpening.

INTEGRATION

"Integration" (12-2-14 028v2a) was just morphed yesterday from a very old version of an even older pic. (Click here to see one of the other very old versions of that same pic, posted to my dreams&poetry blog this morning.) Nothing much else to say about it except that I had more than the usual fun fussing with it yesterday. There's something hopeful about its color contrasts and the "action" of its forms. And as much as I've been rejecting hope (it always lets me down these days) I miss feeling it.

SLIPPERY WHEN WET

The only thing I did to "Slippery When Wet" (12-2-14 025v2) today was to re-crop it slightly. I'm glad I rediscovered it during my on-going archiving/deleting project. I should also mention it's a rather wishful pic and title, giving the drought we're in here in central CA. The north's doing much better after some recent really good rains that, for the most part, passed us and southern CA right by.

SHE'S LOSING HER MIND

"She's Losing Her Mind" (5-25-09 1726v14e) is an old morph of one of my oldest pix ever. It's in the company of many other versions of the same original pic. Some versions just different color combos, and others vastly different shapes and textures. (Click here to see one of them posted to my dreams&poetry blog this morning.) "She's Losing Her Mind" has obviously been heavily fudged with, and it and many of its "cousins" are some of the few pix I still really like. Even though they've been around some time now and I'd usually find much to pick at in them. Guess losing one's mind can sometimes be an OK thing (smile).

THE FERN DREAMS

"The Fern Dreams" (3-31-15 016v2f) is another morphed (just now) from an old pic stumbled across in my on-going archiving/deleting work. And can you guess? I also just made several other versions of the same crop of the original pic. But I think, at least for now, I like this one the most. Though (as almost always, sigh) the more I look at all of the versions the less I like them. However, today, that might be more a function of my messy full moon mood than any accurate perception of problems. I'd really much rather be dreaming with this fern than facing another day dealing with my intense crankies.

JUST ONE LITTLE KISS

"Just One Little Kiss" (3-29-15 028) was just "finished" today, after some work on it yesterday when I stumbled across it in my archiving/deleting work. Don't know why it tickles me. Except that these little rose blossoms always get my full attention and rarely result in a good pic. So to have one turn out almost decent is fun. Even if it took over a year and a half to get here (smile).

LATTER DAY YIN/YANG

"Latter Day Yin/Yang" (10-27-16 034v2) was just fussed out of a rather new pic. Can't get enough of these tree roots. I passed by them day before yesterday and if I'd not been very tired and achy, and in a little bit of a hurry, I'm sure I'd have taken more shots of them. I used another pic of them I took the same day, on my dreams&poetry blog today; click here if you'd like to see it.
