DIGGER

"Digger" (5-27-17 018v2) was just now morphed from a month old pic. More of those fabulous eucalyptus tree root systems I so love looking at and snapping pix of. Nothing much else to say as I obviously tortured it endlessly. Great fun, especially since my mood is more than questionable. Some of the earlier versions beneath this were even darker and creepier in affect. Hey, better to torture a pic than to act out in some way, ey? :-)

A WAY OPENS

"A Way Opens" (12-9-16 009v3b) was just morphed from a new version of a 7 month old pic. It's one of those coming out of my renewed efforts at archiving and deleting photos to give my computer a rest. As I've said here before, I've set a limit of 12,000 pix -- Argh! -- and still wind up considerably beyond that over time. I started this surge of archiving/deleting at over 13,000. Though it took longer to get there as I've also begun deleting one pic as I go along for every new version I make of an older one. As to this pic, yes, it's of that same busy corner I posted a pic of yesterday. Again, with color inversion applied, producing that radiating light effect of the "path."

AT THE CORNER

"At the Corner" (12-9-16 009v2) was just fudged from the original. I pass this busy flora corner several times a week on my way to the beach overlook. It always grabs my attention, if not for pix, for a quiet amused gander. It's always different in some way, and always wild. Even after being sort of weeded out as it was not long ago. BTW, I color inverted this pic and then returned the colors to the more natural. That's what gives it that almost night time look, with "light" coming out of the flora.

CURTAIN CALL

"Curtain Call" (12-9-16 008v2) was morphed several days ago, during that threatened return to my archiving/deleting project. Yep, just as I always predict I found and rescued almost as many pix in that process as I archived or deleted. However, I did make somewhat better head way during this latest session than usual. I think I should always do archiving/deleting when I'm in a bad mood as nothing's very inspiring then. And that's only partly a joke. As to this pic? I clearly fudged with the colors and the "texture." However, those are the shapes and lines of that palm frond and canna lily in the original pic.

LIGHTING UP THE NIGHT

"Lighting Up the Night" (12-15-16 019v5a) was taken of one of my favorite corners to sit in my walker on and watch Isla Vista life go by, sometimes write poetry, and occasionally chat with a passerby (stranger or familiar I.V. resident). I've taken many other shots of this view over the years and done other things to them. I like how this one invokes a late night view and gives preeminence to that fabulous palm.

EVERYTHING'S COMIN' UP ROSES

"Everything's Comin' Up Roses" (4-7-12 11595ev2) was just morphed from an old version of (yup!) an even older pic. I could also say this about the poem I wrote on my walk earlier today: I would not have given one red cent I'd have produced anything positive today. The less said the better about the abysmal mood I woke up in and carried out of my rooms with me. But, bless nature's long reach! I know where I'm at right now will change (what doesn't) but at least I'm unstuck and that's saying a great deal these days. BTW, best to click on this pic if you'd like to see the details.

THE LONG REACH OF THE DARK

"The Long Reach of the Dark" (6-4-17 016v2a) was just morphed from a month old pic. Not sure about it at all, except ... except ... it reflects my mood all too well. No gettin' away from some things.
