OVER THINKING

"Over Thinking" (9-27-17 over thinker...) was just further morphed out of a pic version I accidentally discovered on trying to download a different pic to my other blog. The version I morphed it from was just hanging out, all by its self, not in any folder (I never save pix that way, they're all in dated folders). It just showed up there today, all by its lonesome. Weird! You can't tell me computers (and other so-called inanimate objects) don't have minds of their own. And how's that for over thinking? :-) But as to this pic, it's one of the few I've produced recently that I really like. Even the sort of vaguely muddy coloring. I lightened/brightened the colors at one point, and it took something away from the feel of the pic.

WINTER BLUSTERS

"Winter Blusters" (8-21-17 009v2d) was just "finalized" now, from a version of the original made a couple weeks ago. I have (can you guess? of course you can if you've been reading these posts) many other versions of this same version (different colors, textures, and some looking more like the original shot). One of those is on my dreams&poetry blog today. BTW, these are trees I saw in the background of the original shot, and liked much better than what I'd actually been focusing on in the foreground when I took the pic. Goes that way, sometimes. Honestly? With me it goes that way a lot. Although I've gotten better at framing shots, I'm still far from proficient. Not to mention my low level of tech skills. But, hey, I have great fun then using a pic as a template, or cropping the behoositz out of it as I did the original that became today's pic.

"The Search for Sleeping Beauty" (8-29-17 003v2) was morphed yesterday from a very new pic. And it was a rather thorny process to get it posted here! I tried late yesterday and blogger just would not upload it. Though I'd had no trouble loading a pic to my other blog earlier. I even tried moving it to another folder on my computer, and then even making another copy. However, once I tried uploading an entirely different pic and it stayed in the dark of my computer woods I realized it was blogger's issue, not mine. As to this pic, don't know why I like it as much as I do, but I do. Maybe it's just that reference to the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale -- one that's having deeper resonance for me these days. (The idea of being unconscious behind a thorny wall of protection? Phew!)

BREAK IN!

"Break In!" (3-14-10 10017v2) was just slightly edited from its old original pic. (Cropping, color/contrast work, and painting out of some tiny distractions.) What else to say as I've said here, again and again, how much I love ferns. There are some "fern trees" (would they be called trees? they're certainly big enough, with trunks ...) in this front gate yard that I really enjoy watching go through their seasonal paces. The focus/resolution on this original pic's always been a hard one to fix. Which is why it's sat in its folder for so long. I finally settled on a wee bit of difusing and sharpening, which helped, but didn't fix the focus/resolution altogether.
