WHEREVER THE WIND BLOWS

"Wherever the Wind Blows" (7-23-09 4124v4d) was just now morphed from another of my oldest pix. As often with a new pic/version, I liked it much more when it first popped on my screen. But I still like the color combo and the contrasting textures. Also, that sense of tumbling motion. What I worry about? That those contrasting textures will be seen as something that should have been changed, i.e. not very good editing work. Ah well, it's my vision and I'm sticking with it (cataracts and all). I even like those tiny pixel squares in the green area, middle left side ... hey, I see 'em as seeds in the wind.

STITCHING TOGETHER A LIFE

"Stitching Together a Life" (6-28-09 2988v4i) was morphed several days ago from the usual old version of an even older pic (in fact, one of my oldest). Nothing much else to say except that I do feel like a piece of messy, crewel stitchery these days. So that may be why I'm drawn to post this one.

MOONSPINNERS

"Moonspinners" (6-28-09 2988v4d) is a very old morph of one of my oldest pix, just now ever so slightly color intensified. Not much else to say except that it's one of several versions of this same pic that I considered for posting. Of course, all would need some minor adjustments, as both my editing skills and "eye" have developed somewhat since they were first worked on. But I liked the color combo most in this one, and the "texture." (Just click on the pic to see the details better.)

SEED FALL

"Seed Fall" (3-25-17 010v3b) was just now morphed from a pic taken this spring of a willow tree. (Pix of which -- both realistic and not -- I've posted here before, the most recent yesterday.) Maybe if I let my life go to seed, something new will grow from some small bit of it? Nah, that'll never happen. I just never seem to be able to fully give up. Slow down, withdraw, lots of stuff like that, but let it all go? Doubt it. Then again, I've never been 73-1/2 and getting more arthritic and depressed daily. Ah well, at least I have that much to look forward to: will I hang in, or give up and coast the rest of the way? Will I ever just let the slow fall happen. BTW, click on this pic if you'd like to see the details more clearly.

TRYING TO BEARD THE SKY

"Trying to Beard the Sky" (3-25-17 009v3) is from this spring. It's of those two favorite old willows I often talk about sitting under on my long walk rest/writing stops. (I just wrote a haiku today sitting there.) As to this pic, I think the wide angle lens effect works in this pic. Gives it a sense of motion, rushing even, toward the sky.

SLOGGIN' ON THROUGH

"Sloggin'On Through" (10-27-15 011v4h) is (as so often) a brand new morph of an older version of an old pic. Actually, there are several old versions beneath today's. I kinda, sorta like the messy look of this one. Reflects my sense of my inner life right now. I'm tempted to say some of the details were surfaced from older versions in the process of editing (they popped up as a bit of a surprise). But I don't know how this electronic stuff works. However, it certainly feels that it might operate that way. I.e., some of the details of older versions aren't so much eliminated by edits as masked so that they sometimes resurface in later versions. Well, that thinking gives you an idea of how this old brain slogs on through ... BTW, this is one of those pix that definitely looks better in a larger version, so just click on it if you'd like to check it out.
