HUNTER'S MOON

"Hunter's Moon" (10-26-17 001v2c) was just further tortured from an already heavily morphed old pic of mine. Nothing much else to say about it as now that it's been on my screen for a little bit, it's already exhibiting those sorts of little issues I tend to pic endlessly at. And I'm not going to do any more of that kind of picking now than I already have done to this poor pic! ... Well, so much for that ... I just "had" to go back into Photoshop and "fix" something else. Who's compulsive? Moi? Wonder if that falls under the Capricorn characteristic of being organized, or rather, trying to totally organize everything and feeling I've failed if I can't. And that's only partly a joke.

TURNING A CORNER

So here's another realistic pic ("Turning A Corner" 11-17-17 022v2) after that long run of abstracts I've been torturing out of my photos recently. Actually, non-representational pix are my overall leaning, especially when I'm not taking all that many new pix. I must admit I like this scene and even the way it's framed. But something's still not quite here that I feel about it .. or maybe shouldn't be here? I have (can you guess?) two other versions already and will probably produce more, as is my usual wont. The two additional versions I have now are hewing to realism, but all bets are off for the future. Anyway, I haven't been over to this corner on one of my long walks in ages -- i.e., haven't been on any long walks, anywhere, in way too long. I do hope as sunlight starts returning by the end of this month, my mood and energy levels will also improve, as S.A.D. begins to fade. Then I'll have the get up and zip to push myself into a long walk and take some new pix! BTW, that tree on the left is one whose root system I so often photograph and then fudge endlessly with in Photoshop.

A SMILE THAT ALMOST MAKES THE DAY

"A Smile That Almost Makes The Day" (11-20-18 002v2) was just "finalized" today from a recent photo of mine. These roses grow this time of year in our Memorial Rose Garden and are rather spectacular, both in their colors and large size. I believe I was once told they are called "Marilyn Monroe" roses. I can see why, for sure. The actual colors are a bit more subtle, but I like the color saturation I did. Doesn't really change the colors, only their intensity.

REMAPPING THE COURSE

"Remapping the Course" (6-12-16 001v6x) was just tortured out of an old morph of a two and a half year old pic of mine. The folder was already filled with about two dozen old morphs of the same original pic. And just today I've added probably another half dozen. Great fun, as always, wondering what will happen when I try this function or that filter ... on top of everything else I've already applied ... :-)
