Surf's Up! was just taken yesterday. This is one of my (admittedly many) favorite views around here in the spring, when these particular trees fully leaf up. It's actually of the same group of trees in the photo I posted here recently called Waiting for Peter Pan.

Here's another take on almost the same shot, Sunset in the Foothills:

Lunescence, another old picture, was just edited this morning. Don't know what else to say about it except that it's just the first in a series of edits I've done this morning that's at all satisfying. I did have it in saturated and warmed up sepia tones at first, which made it look more like the first of morning sun rise. But it just hits too heavily on my eye that way, so I've stuck with the moon's light. Not an unusual choice for this long time lunatic.

On Reflection, above, is from a very old photo, just edited yesterday. I have a version that's of the entire rose but it looks somewhat like one you'd find in a flower and seed catalog. I like this close-up much better, once I warmed up the colors a bit, and increased the contrast between the background and the petals.

What Dreams May Come was just re-worked yesterday. It's from the same over three year old photo that I posted a version of here yesterday. After posting that one ("The Emerald City") I was drawn yet again to explore the original's suggestive shapes.

The Emerald City is an old photo re-worked recently. It's another of those pix I keep coming back to, fascinated by its shapes. I sort of like the contrast in this version between an obviously end-of-life blossom, and the liveliness of its seeded center plus the color of growth: green.
